HUR — DOCUMENTS

Terms of Use

Acceptance of the agreement

By using the Hurr app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and {{legal_entity_name}} ("we", "Hurr").

Your electronic acceptance of these terms — whether by installing the app, creating an account in it, or purchasing a subscription — constitutes valid and binding consent under Moroccan law 53-05 on the electronic exchange of legal data.

02

Definitions

The App
The Hurr app on Android, and any future version on iOS.
The User
You, the person who installed the app on your personal device.
Free features
The core features available to every user without a subscription (pornographic-content blocking, Focus Mode within defined limits, one-day Uninstall Protection, and others).
Hurr Premium
The optional paid plan that unlocks expanded features (longer commitment durations, unlimited schedules, strict settings, and live sync once available).
The Store
Google Play Store, currently the sole channel for obtaining the app and subscribing.
03

Licence to use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the app on your personal devices subject to these terms. The app belongs to us, and all intellectual property rights in it — name, logo, design and code — are reserved.

You shall not:

  • Reverse engineer the app or attempt to extract its source code, except to the extent the law permits.
  • Resell or redistribute the app by any means.
  • Use the app to harm others, or to block someone else's device without their knowledge and consent.
04

Account and sign-in

Some features (such as sync, Uninstall Protection, and Hurr Premium) require sign-in via a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining your Google account, and for any activity carried out through it. If you lose access to your account, contact us and we will help you recover your synced data.

05

Subscribing to Hurr Premium

Hurr Premium is a paid subscription, available on a monthly or annual plan. Final prices — in your local currency, inclusive of all applicable taxes — are shown on the in-app purchase screen before you confirm payment.

  • The purchase is processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We do not handle or retain your card details.
  • The subscription is auto-renewing (tacite reconduction): each cycle renews at its end, for the same duration and at the prevailing price, unless you cancel at least twenty-four hours before the renewal date through your Google Play subscriptions settings.
  • Before any annual renewal, Google Play sends a renewal reminder to your registered email. If we change the price or terms, we will notify you in the app and by email at least thirty days before the change takes effect, and the change will only apply to a renewal cycle subsequent to that notice.
  • Premium features may evolve over time. We commit not to remove the substantive features for which you subscribed before the end of your current paid cycle.
06

Cancellation, right of withdrawal, and refunds

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Google Play account's subscriptions settings. On cancellation, your Premium entitlement remains valid until the end of the current paid cycle, after which your account automatically reverts to the free features without losing any of your settings.

Right of withdrawal (droit de rétractation)

Under article 36 of Moroccan law 31-08, every Moroccan consumer has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within seven days of confirming the purchase. However, Hurr Premium is a digital service whose performance begins immediately upon payment confirmation — and so by accepting the purchase you expressly consent to the immediate provision of the service, and acknowledge that this extinguishes your right of withdrawal for the period during which you have used the Premium features.

Refunds

All refund requests are handled under Google Play's refund policy, since Google Play is the merchant of record. We do not process refunds directly through our servers. That said, if you encounter a technical defect that prevents you from using the features you subscribed for, contact us at support@hurr.app and we will help you obtain a fair resolution from Google Play.

07

Acceptable use

Hurr is designed for personal use on the user's own device. By using the app, you commit not to:

  • Use it to circumvent legal restrictions in your country.
  • Attempt to harm the app or our servers, or disrupt the service for others.
  • Impose blocking on someone else's device without their knowledge and explicit consent.
  • Misuse the Uninstall Protection feature to harm yourself or others.
08

Nature and limits of the blocking service

We strive to make Hurr as effective as possible, but we state plainly: no monitoring or filtering technology in the world operates 100% of the time, or is accurate 100% of the time. Means of circumvention always exist, and new links or new gaps may appear before we can patch them. Nothing in these terms shall be construed as a guarantee of perfect or continuous blocking.

The app reduces friction with the content and makes it harder to access — that is what you subscribed to. But it remains a tool to support a decision you have made; it is not a technical barrier that stands in for your will.

Hurr is a tool to help you anchor a decision you have already made. It is not a substitute for psychological or medical consultation when needed, and it is not offered as a treatment for behavioural addiction.

09

Limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without any express or implied warranty beyond what the law imposes. We do not warrant that the app is error-free, continuously available, or compatible with every future version of the operating system.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damage, or any loss of profit or data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability towards you — in any dispute relating to these terms — shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the dispute.

10

Termination

You may end your use of the app at any time by uninstalling it (with attention to the Uninstall Protection feature if it is enabled).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms in a substantial way, particularly anything related to harming others or misusing the service. In non-serious cases, we attempt to reach out first.

11

Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Moroccan law, in particular law 31-08 on consumer protection, law 09-08 on personal data protection, and law 53-05 on the electronic exchange of legal data.

Any dispute arising from the interpretation or application of these terms shall first be sought to be resolved amicably through direct contact between us. Failing resolution within thirty days, the Commercial Court of {{tribunal_city}} shall have jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory provisions of law 31-08 which allow a consumer to bring suit before the court of their own domicile.

For users outside Morocco: Moroccan law remains the governing law, except where the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence is more protective, in which case those provisions apply within their scope.

12

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For any material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify Premium subscribers inside the app before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the app after the change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of it.
